My new camera

My composite battery’s exercise was ended earlier last night. Instead of going back camp this morning, they cut it short to yesterday’s night in account of their satisfactory performance. Their performance is better than we expected even though they come from different batteries. My job there was quite relax but tiring. Duh… I did not do as much fire missions as I did during Bravo battery’s exercise.

Today, my dad went to collect my new camera, Konica Minolta DiMAGE A200. It is an exchange of my DiMAGE A1 for A200. A few months ago, my A1 had some LCD and chip problems. It was sent to service and I had to pay a certain amount for it to repair due to the fact that my warranty was over. Again, the camera had another problem but the warranty had being extended from the last repair.

This time, the spare parts from Japan took too long to be shipped here, since I sent it for service about 2-3 months ago. Therefore, the service centre recommended a 1 to 1 exchange for A200. It is a newer model after A2 was released. A200, a newer model, has of course, pros and cons. It lacks certain functions such as buttons or dials which I had got used to in the A1 model. To me, the more buttons there are, the better it is; functions are easily accessible and used. I don’t like compact cameras because of the lack of these features. A200 lacks a few buttons but is still a good camera to use. I have to get used to it.

In about 1 year or so, I might even consider a more professional camera like Konica Minolta Dynax 7D or Nikon D70s. My passion for photography exploration will never end.

tata…
