Sony Alpha Nex-3 and Nex-5

Sony came out with its prototype launch few months back and the design was slammed.

The design was some what looks cheap, but of course, they had already said that is is a prototype.

Then, just a few weeks ago, Sony announced the preproduction models of the nex-3 and nex-5 (below with thicker grip but smaller body).


Reviews by friends and members from forums said that it is as good as the α550 and possibly even better. Being a user of α900, the nex-5 is a camera that I will want as a compact yet able to produce DSLR resolutions images. No it is not micro 4/3. This small beast packs a APS-C size sensor.

HSBC Treetop walk @ MacRitchie

It was quite a disappointment that pets aren't allowed in parks. Probably they are right about the introduction of domestic animals that will disturb/confuse the wildlife. Anyway, there are many restricted places in Singapore that do not allow pets. I wonder if Singapore is a good place to keep pets, i.e. dogs. I think there are still lots of restriction here. Even pets are not allowed around outdoor eating area.

We had to put Trio, Laney's dog, in the car while we, together with Laney's ex-classmate, made our way to HSBC Treetop walk. A very long journey in and It wasn't as fantastic as I thought it would be. The one way regulation was one of the let down. Anyway, good exercise and a healthy walk.

Ubin Trip

The last time I went Ubin was in early 2008. There isn't much changes on the island, which is great. This time, I went with Lixia and Laney. That's the way it should be. It was fun to cycle around, enjoying the wind 'gusting' onto my face. Our trip was cut short due to the rain. But it's okay! I had lots of fun and there will be next time.

Finally I bought this book last week. Hardly any bookstore sells this book, even on-line.



I think I will bring along to read it in the train during my journey to work. I have been wanting to get this book since last year.

Changing blog template, again...

I decided to change my blog template... The previous template seems to be a bit crappy after sometime. Looks refreshing initially but it doesn't have the timeless quality I am looking for. Therefore, I recreated my blog and came out with some personal touch in this template. I hope it works wells, at least it does now.
