I’m back! Haha… some updates on what I did this whole week.
Last Saturday, it was my cousin’s wedding. I love weddings. And this is my first time to be somehow involve in a bit of activities during the wedding day. In the morning, I opened the groom’s wedding car door for him to go upstairs to pick up her wife who is my cousin, my third time doing that. By right it was my nephew’s job. But he could not do it as he is in his grandmother’s house, his father went overseas, and no one picks him. Hmm… oh well… so I have to do the job again, at the age of 22. A bit weird though.I was very tired after the long morning which ends at around 2pm. I went home, wanting to take a nap, but the computer had successfully tempted me to use him. At around 4plus, my parents drove my sisters and me to the hotel. My youngest sister was the English MC for the dinner so she has to be there early to test and rehearse. So, left my younger sister, me and Huishan, my cousin’s friend, to prepare the reception table. Well, the whole night we were just asking, “Are you coming for the bride or the groom?” I never know that it was quite fun at the reception table. After I reached home after the dinner, took a warm shower, I dropped dead on the bed. It was a very enjoyable day. I wish my Janice and Murphy happy marriage!
Tuesday, I decided to head to O2 service centre at Parco Bugis Junction to service my cradle. The spare battery charger is not working. Frustrated. Did I mention that I had off for the whole week? Haha…Wednesday, went to James’s, my poly friend, house for his birthday. He had a buffet. The food was very good, especially the lasagna. I think there are a total of 3 big trays of lasagna served! Yummy!
Thursday, met up with my BMT mates, Jian yong, Zhenyi, Terence, Jinda, Marcus, Chris, Weijian, and “ORDed” SGT Joel. We had our lunch at Pastamania, PS. Then had a drink and talking session at Starbucks. I wonder how we chatted for so long. We left the place at about 6plus in the evening. This morning, I did not sleep well. The last night I tried to sleep at 10pm but couldn’t. So I watched TV programmes till after midnight then I can sleep. It is all because I realized that I was like cheated on my O2 PDA phone when I bought it at Sim Lim Square. The traveler charger was not the original one when I reconfirmed with Jervis, my Arty cadet course mate. They had given me a fake one! And I was not given a 22pin adapter! The charge they gave me almost gave me a fright when it keeps discharging my battery until it is totally flat. Thereafter, I am unable to charge even though I leave it there for about 15mins. What makes things worst is that my USB cradle is still at the O2 service centre. So I decided to make a storm into the shop today. I kept thinking how I am going to tackle the sales man if he gives me any excuses. Kept thinking and thinking until I can’t sleep, all because of that charger. This morning, I went there early to complain to the sales man. To my surprise, he did not give any excuses. He acknowledged that it was not the original charger. So he took out the original adapter and 22pin to DC jack adapter for an exchange. I must be vigilant on these things already. I went to a power plug in his store and tested out the charger. It works perfectly fine. Thank goodness. I was so scared that my discharged battery was damaged by the imitation charger. Happily, Chee Yong and me continued with out shopping.
We spent our whole morning in Sim Lim Square browsing on computers and accessories. Then, we made our way to a shop which sells baking needs items. I had being looking for white chocolate for my cake for very long and finally I bought it at that shop. White chocolate for baking is very hard to find unless you are in a specialized baking needs shop. Again, happily we continued with our shopping at Suntec. Then, we walked along raffles area, don’t know the exact roads, but it is where most of the museums are. Somehow, we managed to walk to Funan Centre where we again, browsing around at IT stuffs. I saw this nice little pouch, branded Gillgo or something, forgot the name already, just nice for my O2 XdaIIi. So nice! It is priced at $24.90 and I had a second thought about buying it. Who knows maybe I will be back there buying that? Haha…We had our dinner at the Food Junction at Funan. I can’t believe that we had walked so much for the day! Chee Yong’s feet are getting blisters already. Haha… So bad of me still laugh at him. Hehe… But are we going to call it a day? No! After dinner, we walked all the way from Funan to Hereen, Orchard Road. I feel like I am doing road marches. But it is actually quite relaxing walking in the cooling night and chatting along the way. Our night then ends at Orchard MRT station after 2 hours of window shopping. What a tiring day.
tata…
