Due to the bad comments about HP DV9000 series which cost at 3.2k, I decided to strike that off and now leads me to deciding between Dell’s Inspiron 9400 and Asus F3J.

Finish at last!

At last, I have complete my phase I of my 3D drawing after chionging since last night till now haven sleep yet. Big panda eyes already. Now, I am going to submit them to my boss and later, see what needs to be changed. Shag. Things are not in favor to me.

At first, I thought my graphic card is spoiled, and I rushed down to sim lim to get one new one at $208. After getting home, I plug in my card, and realised that it still doesn't have display on my screen. Conclusion, graphic card not spoiled. How?! But buying the card gave me an advantage for a while, I could use it on my parent's computer. But it's still slow due to the processor speed.

This goes on slowly as the render took ages. At times, I am so fedup that I wanted to give up. But i strived on. AHHH!!!! So slow!!!! AHHH!!! it's so late already!!!! fustrating during my work.

My sis wanted to build a powerful pc, and it's a good chance for her. Using my super large casing, she bought new motherboard, processor, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13Mhz, 2GB DDRII 800Mhz RAM and GeForce Nvidia8800GTX SLi graphic card, which is super duper big card, my first time seeing it, and weighs quite heavy too. With these and a SATA HDD, there is no questions of the speed it will produce. Oh my! Its Godlike!

Super fast loh! What took me a few minutes to render a scene, took me under a minute on this new setup. I work more efficently and faster. Last time, I can wait for it to render the scene and take my time to chat in MSN as it process the job. Now, I can only chat for a few seconds or not even a chance before I make the changes which I don't like. GODLIKE!!

Getting a new laptop II

Getting a new laptop II

Today, I was walking around Best Denki in Ngee Ann City and came across a lot of notebooks. I was drooling over the HP Pavilion dv9000 series, the one on display I think is the dv9014TX. I wonder if it is a good buy at about S$3.2K.

Actually, I had almost made up my mind on Dell’s Inspiron 9400 and now I am looking at HP’s. What am I going to do?!

Getting a new laptop I

I got a dilemma. To get a Dell Laptop or a Asus’s. There are pro and cons for each laptop. I am choosing over Dell Inspiron 9400 and Asus F3. They are of different size of course. One is 17inch monitor and 15.4inch respectively. The weight is of course heavier on Dell. But Dell offers quire a good graphic card. Price is about the same, with about maybe $100 difference, Dell at a higher price after a 3 years warranty upgrade whereas Asus is only 2 years.

The freebees Asus is giving during IT fairs are of course more attractive than Dell’s as Dell does rarely give free bags or mouse etc during the purchase. What should I choose?

Weekend of Fun

Had a super hot Thai Chili Japanese Noodle on Saturday. Super hot, the aircon was like switched off that moment. Had the 5 or 6 chili one (2nd last). Luckily never order the hottest or else I think I will be really crying.

Yesterday went to Vivo City. It’s a great place for family fun or a great place if u wanna soak your feet if dun wanna go to beaches. But the water really abit choky and there are small rocks. Careful when bringing children as the pool has sharp metal plates covering floor traps on the “pool” bed.

Back from Holiday!

Wow, it has being such a great holiday. Climbing up the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, Mt Kinabalu was an enjoyable one. Anyone can climb this mountain, at age of 50 or even young primary school kids have no problem at all. Just make sure you are healthy and have no serious health problem. Enjoy the photos! The rest I will upload them to my online album.

My first time to board a budget airline.

Night scene of Kota Kinabalu city from Signal Hill

Street Stall - Fried Carrot Cake.

I had forgotten when I took this shot but it should be near the Mt Kinabalu Park HQ.

One of the many rest shelter along the way up the mountain.

Pitcher Plant, there are more bigger size pitcher plant around the locality. Can be as big as my open palm.

My tired legs taking a rest along the way up.

Reaching Pana Laban Lodges!

The beautiful sunset outside my lodge.

Next morning we start climbing up to the peak at 2.30am to catch the sunrise.

On top of Low’s Peak. The wind is so strong that I cannot smile properly. My hair is so long n I looked so weird My hand is blocking the word Kinabalu!

A steep climb.

South Peak.

Left – Ugly Sister Peak, Right – Donkey Ears Peak. There are some other peaks but I do not remember their names :P

St John Peak

Descending down the peak.

The entrance to climb up to the peak.
