Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006 - A Complimentary Musically Choreographed Fireworks Display by the French Team of Singapore Fireworks Festival 2004

Today, I tried to be early to chop a place for my friends. I reached at about 3.15pm and there are about 10 tripods deployed. So early! If I went 15-30minutes late, there will not be any decent spot for me to shoot my fireworks.

It was madness. Today was the longest wait compared to previous fireworks. Earlier and earlier I went and longer and longer I waited. At last, the fireworks from the French team starts.

Taken at 3.40pm and there are already quite a few very early birds there!

erm… the tripod when fully extend is too high for him leh… See… he tiptoed just to look through his viewfinder. A tripod cannot be too low nor too high, should be just nice of your eye level height or slightly lower to the viewfinder so that you can also see the controls on top of the camera.

The 4.45pm crowd.

This photo is cropped. Testing out a 170-500mm lens which a guy from ClubSNAP is selling. Met up with him to test the lens. A very nice gentleman. He told me that I had a shot of him in my previous photos. I went back home to check and saw his photo, side view, during the first fireworks, 6th photo, the person who is bending down doing things.

The firing point.

Taken at 5.55pm.

Taken at 6.58pm.

If there was a red maple leaf on the middle of the water on the white reflection, it will look like a Canada State flag.

The jumping fireworks on the water. It was jumping to the left and getting closer and closer to the Marina Promenade. For that moment, I thought it might hit the audience along the promenade.

This moon is not taken yesterday. Just a rough guide if I am using a 500mm zoom onto the moon. The size compared with a 300mm which is on top.

What a wonderful yesterday. I love the fireworks and the night. It is such a wonderful day! Somehow my life seems to have changed that night. Another thing to cheered about is that I do not need to go very early again to chop a good shooting spot!
