What a boring day it is today, erm… should be yesterday, Saturday. I met up with my friend Jack, to go around looking for camera bag and just walk and walk around as usual, window shopping. Jack is one of my best buddies who might also be the only person who is willing to walk and walk and walk with me aimlessly.
My aim today was to look for my wished bag, Domke J-1. Hard to find a shop which sells Domke bags. Anyone know where in Singapore got sell that? Or anywhere got a lot a lot of camera shop except Peninsular Plaza and Peninsular Hotel Shopping Centre? I headed for Cathay Photo and saw one. I think it is a Domke F series model, either a F-1 or F-2 series. It looks great, big enough for me too, but the price set me back at S$430. It is so big that I can put everything in that bag without much problem. Currently I owned the Lowepro Rezo 190AW, which I find getting smaller, partly because of my increasing accessories collection and bulky camera body which fits oddly in my current bag.

I took this snap shot photo of National Library before crossing the traffic.

I was trying to take a photo of the air-well and it seems to have something missing. I think I might need a Neutral Density, ND, filter for this.

Another 2 similar shots at the National Library. I tested out my polarizer filter but it ended up not well taken. I think is partly due to the strong sunlight hitting directly at the glazing. It is very cool to look through the viewfinder at the image changing while rotating the filter.

A shot taken before crossing the traffic again at Raffles Hotel. I think I should take at a different location so that I can capture more of its façade. There is a lamp post on my right and the tree canopy is restricting my field of view.
Jack and I went to catch a movie, Lady in the Water, at Suntec. Free tickets voucher from Jack’s camp so no harm trying any movies. The movie is somewhat exciting but I think the setting is wrong. Maybe a Korean bedtime story, myth, based in a “ang mo’s country”. Weird la, not worth your $9 or $9.50 to watch during weekends. $7 to watch that during weekdays is still not bad. I rate this movie, 2.5 out of 5.

Walking out from Suntec, I saw this bright thin moon in the sky. The first thing came to my mine is to take a shot of it. I quickly make my way to esplanade and took a picture of it. Too bad I did not bring my 75-300mm lens. I can only take this pathetic small moon at 135mm focal length. That reminds me of someone selling a 170-500mm lens online, $850, if I have the budget, I will buy.

Cropped moon. Very blur hoh? At pathetic 135mm, no choice, too bad.

I was happily taking photo of this glowing ball until Jack came along and play with the water, creating ripples, which also resulted in quite a nice reflection.

My last “boliao” shot. Know where it is ma? Inside Esplanade.
