First day of work, I totally do not know what I am in camp for. We spent the whole morning doing the administration work such as getting our permanent camp passes, personal particulars and briefing by our manpower.
In the noon, we have to move bed frames, mattresses and cupboard to our new bunks. They have allocated us to a 2 man bunk but we are inserting another bed in it to become a 3 man bunk. I don’t understand why though. Maybe they do not have enough bunks at the HQ where all officers stay. Artillery Institute, AI had problems with their bunk allocations. Think their manpower did not make an effort to get bunks ready for those staying in AI. So now they have to stay out for the time being.Staying at the new HQ block, there are pros and cons. The block is new, toilet is new, bunks are new but became dirty because officers don’t do much area cleaning, but we wanted to stay out! It is so sad to stay in camp even though we had commissioned.
Anyway, It is going to be a slow week. We have to go on some course this week. I am quite surprised that my Chief of Clerk told me that I had to attend a safety investigation course, something like that, on 21-23 December. Why huh? Haha… I thought I am a FO. But after I go through that course, I will find myself doing more things than a normal FO in terms of any safety investigation if there is any.I should be looking into my welfare soon. What entertainment to bring into my bunk to enjoy during admin time. Haha… Time for dinner.
tata…
