Commissioning Ball - Part II

At last… after 2 days of squeezing my brain juice and searching the internet, which I find no hope for, I... still cannot figure out how to insert a swf file in my blog. I tried many types of html codes but I could not seem to get the right one for it to display it in my entry. Even though it shows in my preview, it doesn’t appear when I publish my entry. So in the end, I decided to compile the images into a jpeg format.

Here goes… some of the photos I took with Foong on the Commissioning Ball dinner last Saturday. Before the dinner starts, we had a chance to take some glamour shots by the professional photographer we hired. My first time taking such shots in front of a piece of nicely patterned cloth, the feeling was weird. What’s more, others are queuing up to take the shots too and were looking at any person under the flashes of the camera.

Dinner was great. The beef was perfectly medium rare cooked. It was one of the best beef I ever ate. U.S. Beef Tenderloin with Foie Gras and Eggplant Caviar. The salmon my partner had was nice too. But the spaghetti was quite tasteless. Salmon and Scallop Osso Bucco on Peppered Parmesan Pasta and Braised Spinach Nutmeg. The last desert which is Chocolate Firework, but I did not see any fireworks at all except a few chocolate poles sticking out of the food, haha, was a good ending for the dinner.

The host for that night did a wonderful job entertaining us. Games were played and we had great fun even till the end of the dinner.

After dinner, the night is still young! I drove Foong to West Coast Park. She never tried drive-in to buy MacDonald’s before so I made a turn in. haha… That was my first time doing a drive-in too. So we made our purchase and went to the park and had our Mac and chit chatted. Not long later, that stupid rain started to pour. We made a dash back to the car and continue with the food. No where to go, nothing to do, we took some photos in the car. Somehow we anyhow took photos and we got cute photos like drawings we did inside the car windscreen.

At almost 4am, I drove her back home when the rain is subsided. Very sleepy during that hour but I managed to keep myself awake during the journey home.
