A Dream

I had a dream... a dream that imprinted on my mind.

I dreamt that I bought a 2nd hand 2-storey apartment with my 婷婷. The house was cosy. As we enter the house, on the left was the staircase to the upper floor, the bedroom which does not have any walls, with open low railing and overlooking downwards into the living space.
Beneath the stairs, a open riser stairs, was a small wooden boat-like item that allows people to sit in it. It was left behind by the owner. on the right, was a brick finished wall.
Moving further in, the open kitchen is on the right and living space on the left, with an island counter top in-between.
The living and kitchen was spacious. We held a house-warming and it can easily accommodate 2 families and friends with ample space to move around. I even invited some of my Australian University friends over for the house-warming.
I remember vividly another item the previous owner left behind. a small lamp under a table that is just beside the island counter top. The lamp, though not to my or 婷婷's liking, was old, and some old books are laid around the base, creating a ring around it. We have no idea why it is placed that way. Can it be that the previous owner dislike the base design? Curious, we were staring at it for a long time.
These are the 2 items that were left behind, both under something.

Earlier the day, I was at HDB hub for a meeting. I sat at the waiting area, and saw people queuing up to select their flats. I wonder when will I have the chance to be there, waiting for my turn. Happy! At least we agreed to get our own place first when the next Dawson BTO launches. Praying hard that we will get it.
