I find it weird that mobile camera phone is following the megapixel, MP, war just like what normal cameras are doing now. From 0.3MP to the newly announced 12MP camera phone. Back then, I posted in 206 about a 10MP camera phone camera phone. Looks like Samsung again is going up with a 12MP camera phone. But somehow, it looks different. Yes! The lens. It is small! I have no idea on the image quality. Maybe it will be good.
BUT! Why on earth are people putting cameras into phone? From 0.3MP, they could even start from 3 or 4MP in the first place! Why is camera integrated into phones but not phones integrated into cameras? There are a lot of compact cameras with over 12MP. Just need to make it bigger to insert a phone chip, antenna, speaker and mic and you are off. The screen can be a touch screen. Cool! It is a true PDA camera phone with superb image quality!
