Just now, I went to the locksmith and enquire if they could change my ignition barrel for me but the guy told me that it would cost quite a lot to get it change and he has to order a new barrel. Suggested me to go to Wreakers, a 1st and 2nd hand car parts dealer, to get a 2nd hand piece. So I went over, just a few seconds drive along the road, and I am in luck!! They have one which is almost like brand new!! I wanted to turn back to get it changed by the locksmith but decided to do it myself.
I removed the covers and to my horror, I think I am unable to dismantle any parts. I tried means and ways to get the dashboard out but it stayed there stubbornly. Finally, I used a metal washer to improvise as a screw driver to reach to the narrow opening to remove the screw. My fingers now are still quite painful. Understand ma? I think its kind of unclear the way I describe, but anyway, yes, I managed to remove and get it change. The new one works like a charm. I will have no problem getting to start my car now.
