Laugh it out

Today, had a very filling dinner at Rice Table at Suntec. Jason, Anqi and myself celebrated Shan Shan's belated birthday. Happy Birthday Shan Shan!

It had being so long the 4 of us comes out for a nice dinner and chatting session. In the end, it became a joking session. Jason, as usual, with his crappy jokes, entertained us throughout the dinner. I will never forget his jokes about his new female colleagues. Want to know more? Ask him loh, he is in a "better position" to describe. I laugh non stop for minutes until I shed tears. That laughing session distressed me a lot and distracted me for a while.

Spring Cleaning Part I

My room is in a mess. It is about high time that I start packing up my room before I ORD and leave for Australia. And also I think it is not presentable if people come into my room and look at all my things all over floor and table. I think the last time I did thorough cleaning was a year ago. Today, I spent my whole morning and afternoon but I still cannot finish. Here are 2 photos I took a few minutes ago. Not even half way through! There are still a lot to pack up. And I still have to make space for my army stuffs after I ORD., field pack, SBO, army clothes, wth...

Packing my stuffs uncover a lot of gems and treasures. I found a few of my diary which I wrote during secondary school, which we were forced to write a few times in a week during morning 20mins sessions and some which I wrote about my thoughts during my overseas trip. I had placed them on the higher shelf so that I know it existed.

o Shutter Release O

I had just created a photo album in my new site. Searching whole day for free web hosting without ads but I still cannot find any. So irritating to have the ads displaying at the side and top. Spoil the whole thing.

Another Friday Duty

Again, today I am on duty. Cannot go out, nothing to do, no one to talk to. The whole camp is out for morning East Coast Park run and everyone were given half day off after the run. No one is coming back!

Luckily, I brought my Chronicles of Narnia story book and my Minolta camera’s Instruction Manual, IM, to kill the rest of the mundane hours in camp. Reading my camera’s IM, I have the urge to go out and start shooting. Why am I still in camp!

Maybe this weekend is a good day to go take photos of National Stadium. 2 of my shutterbugs had left for Aussie already. Take care Laney and Ant! Hope to see you all soon!

DHTML

I was looking at some webbies jus now and came across a html site. I was so excited when I found a interesting script which I decided to use one of them in my new photo album. Here is the test page which I had tried out. It is only the raw concept introduction page and I had found other scripts to be used on my categorized albums. I need to do up my story board and make it alive!

I am so excited! Woohoo!! I can’t wait to have more time to do up the script and finish up my album. DHTML is just so fun to use!

STOMP

Guess everyone who read the papers or listen to the news knows about STOMP by The Straits Times. What does it means? STOMP, Straits Times Online Mobile Print, is an integration of content and activities in the three platforms; print, online and mobile.

It has taken a portion of traditional ways of reporting news through platform especially camera mobiles. Recently, I was on my way home along SLE and was caught in a traffic jam. At the accident scene, there was an accident involving 2 passenger cars and a motorbike. Lying on the floor was the rider of the bike, motionless.

It stuck me to take a photo and send to STOMP, but I cannot. Because I do not have a camera phone with me! Military personnel are not allowed to bring any camera phone, that’s why it’s a waste as I cannot get a chance to win a Opel Astra. One of my favourite cars you know; as long as it is continental.

Sunny Day

Nice weather. Blue sky, white clouds. The photos below are actually edited. These are taken at Esplanade and various locations along the way from City Hall to Raffles Place. Today my camera did not perform very well. The color of my raw pictures are not up to standard.

Suckiest Friday

Duty tomorrow, guess what? I am doing duty on Friday again next week! How did I end up with such arrangement of duties? Does the planner have any good sense of arrangement? My whole week is going to be sucks all the way.

I was planning my ORD calendar this afternoon and realized that I could only clear my 28 days of leave starting last week of August inserting only 9 days of Offs. Sad… :(

New Month New Beginning

The start of a new month marks a new beginning. In 2 weeks time I will be flying over to Thailand for an exercise for 2-3 weeks. In about 7 months I will be flying over to Tasmania for my studies. Not much time left. I need to spend more time with the one I love.

Born Free

It was such a slack week. I almost did nothing much in office for the whole week. I had completed my paperwork and could not think of anything else to entertain myself other than reading newspapers, sleeping on the sofa in office, walking up and down visiting my friends from other offices, and thinking of breakfast and dinner.

The thing which I looked forward to is to go home every night this week. For the past 1 month, I could not go home due to the work I have to do till late night. At last, all was completed.

I had been picking up my Autocad skills for the past 3 days by drawing some elevation and sections of toilets. It had been about 2 years since I last drew architectural drawings. Maybe I should also look for some freelance job after I ORD.

I had one of the most class, ambience and delicious dinner yesterday night, Friday. It was at ZUMA. I had my 180gm sirloin steak which was cooked superbly juicy. When I was ordering, I was wondering, how big a 180gm steak is. There were 2 choices, 180gm and 275gm if I remembered correctly. A Caucasian lady had a 275gm steak which is gigantic! I should have ordered that for just $4 more.

Shared with my dining mate a glass of white Aust wine, receipt wrote ‘White Wine HP Aust-GL’. I dare not drink too much as I am driving yesterday night. So, she drank about ¾ of it. I just love wine. I think I still can feel a bit of heaviness on my head even though I drank so little!

Gotto catch some sleep. Goodnight!
